Tears dripped down Connor's cheeks at the words, and he smiled. "I love y-you too...more than I h-have the time to show..." He wiped at his face absently, kissing Deacon softly on the lips again, hugging him close. "You're m-my entire world."

"Don't cry, baby.." Deacon mumbled, kissing him back. He hugged him close, rubbing his back gently as all thoughts of anything other than holding him faded.

"I'll love you forever. You are my forever. You know no one else even comes close to comparing to you. You're so perfect." He stroked his cheek gently, his eyes wandering across the familiar face. But unlike Deacon, who was stuck at 20, Connor was getting older, edging towards eighteen. And Deacon could see it. "My baby is really growing up.. It sounds stupid, but it makes me really happy to think.. You're this much closer to tomorrow."

Connor swallowed. "I'm allowed to cry," He mumbled absently, curling up in Deacon's arms. He held on tight, let out a shaky breath as Deacon called him his forever. "A-and you're mine..." He smiled at the last words. To think, eighteen. "Yeah, guess I-I am..." He whispered, closing his eyes and drawing in a breath, afraid to miss out on a single moment of such feelings as these.

The only thing to pass Deacon's thoughts was 'well, fuck. Cry. I don't care.' He rubbed his back gently, resting his chin on top of his head. He chewed on his lip, looking up at the ceiling.

"Everyone's getting big. Bandit's gonna be two next December. Your little sister gets cuter every time I see her. You're all growing up. Too fast." He rubbed his back slowly as he chewed his lip, dropping his eyes to the pictures on the dresser.

Connor followed hus gaze, eyes closing as he swallowed. "E-even not sick, It never woulda been f-fore-ever." He would have got older, even Deacon wouldn't love some old guy.
He stretched up, kissed him tenderly and smiled.

"We're still going to die together. We got two tickets to hell, may as well use them." He shrugged. "A modern Romeo and juliet, huh?"

He wrapped his arms around Connor, pulling the boy on top of him. He kissed him deeply, running his hands up and down his back. He smiled into the kiss, keeping Connor close.

"I don't want you to die..." He whispered softly, swallowing and frowning. He chewed on his lip, uneasy with the thought. "Y-youcan't die cos of me, Deacon..I-I'm already taking the life of some guy I don't know.. Taking him from his love.." He let out a shaky breath, but Deacon's kiss silenced him and he kissed back slowly, closing his eyes.

Deacon kissed him slowly, his hands running up and down his back. He ran his tongue over Connor's bottom lip before he pulled away. "And they're taking my love from me. If they don't want me to die, they won't take you. Plain and simple. No one asks for this job. I'm just the lucky fool who gets to go to hell instead of wander around."

Connor bit down hard on his lip in response, closed his eyes again. He let go when he tasted blood, and licked his lips to get rid of it. He didn't bother say a thing, curling up as close as he could get.

Deacon wrapped his arms tightly around him, holding tight to him. He didn't want to let him go. Ever. He wanted him there forever. He kissed the top of his head, running his hands gently up and down his back. "I love you so much." He whispered.
