Cole sighed softly, arms wrapping tightly around his knees as he buried his face. He heard someone walk into the bathroom, leave again, and he still didn't budge.
He didn't care what August thought, if he left or not.

August just sat in his spot, running his hands up and down his jeans, waiting for Cole to come back out. Something told him he was wasting his time, but he knew if he had finally gotten the boy to talk again, he had done what he intended to do.
He licked his bottom lip, still tasting his blood there.

Guilt finally ate at him enough the Cole hopped onto the ground and left the bathroom behind, hair dishevled from laying it on his knees. He rubbed at an eye as he approached August again, once more dropped down beside him.
In silence his head found the older male's shoulder, breaths slow.

August wrapped an arm around him, rubbing his side gently. He sat there in silence, just listening to the boy's heart beat, his own silent in his chest. He stopped breathing for a moment just to hear him there as he reached up to stroke his hair. He could smell the other wolves, sensing uneasiness, especially from the girl.
"I think they're looking for you." he said quietly, this reminding him of the end of Romeo and Juliet.

"So?" Cole whispered with a frowb, raising his head to glance down the hall, windering if Shaun would be able to find then considering the fact that she was a full werewolf.
He wondered why they were looking for him in the first place, closed his eyes.

"It's okay.. I'm not gonna let you go.." He said quietly, rubbing his side. "Not until you tell me to." He pulled the boy into his lap, figuring if they found them, he may as well piss them off while he was at it. He kissed the top of his head, hugging him close.

Cole allowed himself to be pulled into August's lap, only heard one pair of footsteps, which meant it was probably just Shawn and Shaun. The idea of that made him feel a little better until he heard Jacob's voice.
"I don't get why he'd run off with the asshole in the first place Shawn. It's not like he fucking talks."
Shawn murmured something in defense, obviously not agreeing with his older brother.
Footsteps echoed in the hall and Cole peeked from where his head rested against August's shoulder, meeting Jacob's glaring eyes, though the look was directed to the vampire.
"Jake don't-" Shawn warned. But Jacob snatched August up by the throat anyway, Cole scrambling back helplessly as Jacob let him go, eye to eye with the older male, his own green ones blazing.
"So now you run off with him huh?!"
Cole lowered his gaze. Shawn seemed troubled, had obviously said he might be here, though it didn't seem he had meant to get either of them in trouble.

August was stroking Cole's hair when he was grabbed by the throat and raised to his feet. He wheezed, his eyes going from green to red in two seconds flat. He felt his fangs elongate at a freakishly fast speed, glaring back at the older male. He heard the girl round the corner and gasp, then retreat in fear.
'Figures she'd be scared of him.' He thought, standing between Jacob so he couldn't take his anger out on the boy.
"Why don't you shut the fuck up, you mutt. You're a disgrace to your species." He spat, turning back to Cole. He bent down, taking the boy's face into his hands.
"Cole.." He breathed, rubbing his cheeks gently. "Please.." He didn't know what he wanted, just knew he thought he felt his cold heart beat for the first time in years.

Jacob snarled, his own teeth sharpening some, glaring down on him as he turned towards Cole. His already uncontrolled anger problems on top of being far too protective of his brothers since the accident, he made a move.
"August," Cole rasped in warning as Jacob made to strike the older male over the head. Cole knew Jake wouldn't hurt him, but the vampire was a completely different story. "Jacob-" Tyler's voice this time, Jake snapping at him to be quiet.

August spun on his heels, caught a glimpse of the girl clinging to the blonde, before grabbing the eldest by the waist. He turned so his shoulder was in Jacob's chest, then shoved with all his weight, tackling him to the ground. He silently thanked high school football, even if he had played nothing more than the rushing back. He dropped ontop of him, pinning him to the floor with his knees.
'Mother fuck, I'm gonna die right here.' He thought, glaring down at the oldest of the siblings.
"You have everyone so scared of you it's sick. You're nothing but a thorn in my side. When your family needs you most, you fuck them over. Congratulations, you're an ass." He stood up, looking back at Cole. 'All that work.'
