Connor paused ti murmured a thanks and take a swallow, stretching out his wings carefully as well. He returned to the book, smiling at Bandit.

"Das good job." Bandit said reassuringly as he finished the book. She leaned against him, slowly rubbing his chest. Deacon smiled, squeezing his calf gently. He knew Bandit meant well, only wanted to make him feel proud.

"Why th-thank you," He teased with a faint smile, wrinkling his nose at her as he handed the book back to her and picked up his tea again.

Deacon watched her toddle back to her book shelf, putting the book away where it'd went. She pulled out her blocks, sitting down in the middle of the floor to build with them. "We raised a pretty cute kid." He said with a smile, looking back at Connor.

Connor smiled. "Yeah, s-sure did," He agreed softly, scooting over so he could rest his head on Deacon's shoulder and watch her.

Deacon wrapped his arms tightly around him, hugging him close. He slowly rubbed his back, closing his eyes as he relaxed against him.

Connor nestled closer, closing his eyes with a slow, relaxed breath. A faint smile remained on his lips.

Deacon gently rubbed his side, opening his eyes as Bandit came pushing a random configuration of blocks over. "Dis!" She exclaimed, and he nodded, smiling.

"That's very pretty." He said.

Connor looked up, smiling at her. He stretched his wings again, then tucked them up against his and Deacon's backs.

Bandit slowly pushed it back to add more blocks. He watched her quietly, slowly running his hand over Connor's leg. She giggled when the blocks cracked and crashed, sitting down to start building it again. "I wish we had those when I was a kid." Deacon said quietly.
