Connor started towards the living room, smiling as Bandit hugged his leg. "H-hey baby.." He breathed, sitting down on the floor, wings draped over it as he hugged her close.

Bandit scrambled closer, wrapping her arms around his neck to hug him tightly. "Yub oo." She said, slowly playing with his hair. Deacon sat down at his feet, reaching over to pull a string from Bandit's wing.

Connor smiled. "Love you t-too, Bandit.." He murmured, hugging her tight. He looked over at Deacon with bright eyes.

Deacon smiled, hugging Bandit as she came over and hugged him. Then she toddled off to her book shelf, bringing one back. Deacon pulled her into his lap, opening it up to read it to her.

Bandit pulled away the book halfway through the book, walking with it over to Connor. "Wead dis." She said, pointing to where she thought Deacon had left off.

Connor smiled at her faintly, biting his lip as he looked at the book. He wasn't so sure he wanted to with his stutter, but started anyway.

Deacon leaned back against the counter, watching them. He hoped it didn't offend Connor that she asked him to read, that he didn't feel like he was being put on the spot. "Just read it slowly." He told him, getting up to fix him a mug of tea.

Connor nodded absently, doing so and trying to control as much if his speech as he could. He hated himself for it, it was one thing he hated most. Too much brain damage from drugs, they said. He rubbed Bandit's back gently.

Deacon bent down, sitting his mug of warm tea next to him, and Bandit's cup of chocolate milk. He took his seat back at his feet, gently running his hand up Connor's leg. He closed his eyes, leaning his head back against the cabinets again.
